Bridging Environmental Stewardship with Innovation and Opportunity ​
This years theme emphasizes the need for inclusive leadership and innovative solutions to drive environmental progress.

Conference breakdown
1. SDG Action Zone
Expands to all schools willing to set up sustainability stands at the showcase. An opportunity to share what your school is doing in regards to the environment. Showcase is designed like a fair.

Age group: year 10 to year 13 students (grade 9 to grade 12)

Number of schools allowed for showcase: 20 (it is not mandatory for schools registering for the conference to participate in the showcase)

Number of presenters per stall: maximum 3
FORMAT:

each school will be provided a stall where they can choose to present anything in regards to their schools environmental efforts (models/ presentations/ trifold boards)

2. ECOS Climate Competition
The ECOS Climate Competition provides students a chance to use their critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.​

Requirements: Open to school students from Grade 7/ Year 8 to Grade 12/ Year 13. Teams must consist of maximum 5 members, solo participation is allowed.

Registration: All teams must register before the conference, including team names and member details.

Project Guidelines:

Competition topics: sent to schools on March 1st 2025. Teams will choose one of four prompts to focus on and develop a solution.

Final submission: due on April 7th, 2025. Solutions can be presented in any format—posters, projects, presentations, code (website/games), 3D models (tri-fold), etc. A form link to share evidence and online presentations will be sent along with the competition topics.

Conference day – 12th April (guidelines): Project presentations will take place at GEMS Founders School, Dubai to a panel of judges on the 12th of April. Each team will have 3 minutes to present
